| Content | Scope This seminar aims to examine some of the new ethical and legal challenges posed by biomedical and biotechnological developments. In the background of the discussion will be an effort to better understand the meaning of “human dignity”, considered both as a quality of individuals and as the value we attach to humankind as such. The theoretical lectures will be complemented with case studies, excerpts from movies, and group discussion. Schedule: Session 1. Biotechnological advances, ethics and law Session 2.
