Content | Description of the content: In this course, students will develop certain skills necessary to conduct their doctoral research. Thus, the specialised topics could be the following: (a) learning and working with statistical software package SPSS 20.0; (b) qualitative analysis with Atlas.ti; (c) in-depth content analysis; and (d) designing a study and preparing study materials such as interview guide and survey. --- The course would be tailored to student's need and is only open to PhD students from the Institute for Biomedical Ethics (IBMB). Students who wish to enroll in this course should discuss their interest with Dr. Wangmo. She and the PhD student would work on a course goals and outcomes agreement. Course meeting times would be specific for each student. Student would receive the credit upon completion of agreed upon goals and outcomes, and 30 hours of total course work. |
