Content | This research colloquium is part of a more extended project on "Cultural Topographies". We will continue our discussions of cultural constructions of space, this time with a focus on literary explorations of the English Channel as a liminal space between Britain and France where issues of national identity gain particular currency. The colloquium is recommended as a suitable course for the "Zertifizierung Kulturelle Topographien", and it is also specifically for students wishing to give the colloquium presentation required in the MA research skills module. |
Learning objectives | Students will widen their knowledge of spatial theory and practice as well as discourses of English identity and develop their skills in research as well as academic discussion and presentation. |
