Content | 1. Toxic agents: Pesticides, polyhalogenated hydrocarbons, metals, fibres and particles, solvents, vapors and gases, terrestrial animals, plants 2. Organ directed toxicity: blood/bone-marrow, skin, kidney, heart, skeletal muscle, liver, endocrine system, respiratory system, eyes and ear, bone, gastrointestinal tract |
Learning objectives | - students know mechanism of action and clinical effects of the most important toxins/toxicants - they can predict toxicological potential of similar compounds. |
