| Content | R ist eine freie Software für statistische Analysen. Sie eignet sich auch für die Untersuchung von Texten und anderen Artefakten. Besonders für die Untersuchung größerer Datensätze ist R gut geeignet. In der Sommerschule wollen wir R nutzen lernen, um eigene - geplante oder schon laufende - Projekte in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften zu unterstützen. Zusammen mit auswärtigen Fachleuten werden im Seminar verschiedene Ansätze vorgestellt und für die Arbeit an den Projekten genutzt. Der Kurs findet als Blockveranstaltung statt. R is a free software for statistical analysis. It is also suitable for the analysis of texts and other artifacts. R is particularly well suited for the investigation of larger data sets. In the summer school we want to learn to use R to support our own - planned or already running - projects in the humanities and social sciences. Together with external experts, different approaches will be presented in the seminar and used for the work on the projects. The course will be held in blocs. |

| Admission requirements | No prior knowledge about R is necessary. However, to learn R needs a long breath and a strong interest in the use of R. Carry on even if only red lines show up and work in groups. |
