Content | Arithmetic of Dynamical Systems is a new branch of mathematics. Dynamical Systems has a long history and tradition. Henry Poincarré is considered the founder of this theory in the late 19th century. Essentially dynamical systems described a phenomena that changes with the time. Therefore dynamical systems concern a big class of problems in mathematics, mechanics and physics. I this course we are going to consider some arithmetical aspects of this theory. More concretely we will study dynamical systems associated to rational functions (i.e. fraction of two polynomials). We are going to consider some geometry and algebra to solve problem in Arithmetic of Dynamical Systems. Many of the notions and theorems, we are going to see, are quite recent and were developed in the last 20 years. |
