Learning objectives The lecture gives an introduction to the principles as well as current research topics in chemical and molecular physics:
- Quantum structure of molecules
- Control of atoms and molecules with electric, magnetic and optical fields
- Physical foundations of chemical processes
- Generation and applications of cold atoms and molecules
- Modern experimental methods and research directions

Admission requirements Basic knowledge of quantum mechanics, e.g., from the lectures Physikalische Chemie II-IV (Dept. Chemie), Physik 3+4 (Dept. Physik) or equivalent.
