| Content | The seminar provides an introduction to the most important concepts, debates and research results related to the environment, climate and conflicts. It deepens a selected number of issue areas such as resilience, migration and justice of transition, and looks at particular contexts such as the Horn of Africa. Based on these insights, different actors and policies are presented and discussed. The final session tackles the question if policies prompted by climate change might also contribute to peace. |
| Learning objectives | Participants know the debates about the environment, climate and conflicts. They are familiar with the most important empirical results and with key theoretical and analytical concepts. They know specific policy fields, different actors and their strategies. |

| Comments | Attention: All Seminars will be graded in the Department of Political Science. Grading scale 6.0 to 1.0, whereupon 4.0 is a pass. The number of participants will be limited. The places are assigned according to date of enrollment and subject of study. Priority will be given to students of Political Science. |
