| Content | Das Proseminar gibt einen Einblick in die Geschichte und Archäologie der Stadt Abydos. Dabei werden u.a. die prä- und frühdynastischen Nekropolen in Umm al-Qaab, die Mastaba des Weni, die monumentalen Gräber Sesostris' III. und Ahmosis' I./II. sowie die Millionenjahrhäuser (Tempel) Sethos' I. und Ramses' II. behandelt. |
