67930-01 - Internship: Lehrgrabung Vrbjanska Čuka (Nordmazedonien) (3 CP)

Content Excavation in Vrbjanska Čuka, neolithic tell site (dated to 6000-5800 cal. BC) in Pelagonia (North Macedonia). Systematic soil sampling and sieving with the wash-over method will be implemented in order to do micro-residue analysis (including seed and fruit remains). You have the chance to do a more intensive training in practical Archaeobotany, as long as you have visited the Übung für die Bestimmung von Pflanzenresten previously and you communicate this well in advance. The spoken language at the excavation will be English.
