| Content | Perceptual processes and cognitive performance are strongly influenced by our actions. For example, a young child exercises her motor skills and explores her environment more independently over time. A close link between action, sensory perception and human thinking is not only found in the first years of life, but throughout the entire lifespan. Therefore, in this seminar, we will discuss the current research regarding perception, action, and related processes in development from infancy to old age. |
| Learning objectives | The primary goal of the seminar is to promote the learning of key theories and relevant concepts in cognition, perception and action in developmental psychology and broader psychological science. Secondary goals are for students to (1) gain practice in thinking critically about existing research gaps, (2) evaluate current research in the field of developmental psychology, (3) connect practical or real-world concepts to the course content, and (4) practice the scientific discussion in English throughout this seminar. |

August bis 27. August 2023 nehmen die Dozierenden die Einteilung in die Seminare vor und informieren die Studierenden entsprechend.
