| Content | Il seminario sarà dedicato a una lettura della prima cantica del poema dantesco. Dopo un’introduzione sugli aspetti filologici, storici e strutturali (biografia del poeta, datazione, prima ricezione) il seminario proporrà, attraverso presentazioni individuali e una riflessione collettiva, un’analisi dei canti che tematizzano il problema della rappresentazione del meraviglioso e della difficoltà poetica di evocare il mondo ultraterreno in rapporto ai modelli classici (in particolare l’Eneide) e a quelli medievali. In particolare, ci soffermeremo sulle strategie retoriche con cui Dante restituisce ai suoi lettori l’esperienza (visiva, sonora, emotiva) dell’aldilà, l’interazione con i dannati e il rapporto tra corpo e spirito. |
| Bibliography | Per poter partecipare attivamente al seminario è necessario disporre di un’edizione recente e commentata della prima cantica. Si consiglia quella a cura di Giorgio Inglese (Dante, Inferno, Roma, Carocci, 2016 e ristampe successive). Ulteriore bibliografia verrà indicata nelle prime sedute. |
