Content | Social media has become an increasingly important platform for politicians to communicate with the public. To analyze their communication output, there are various strategies that can be employed. In this seminar, we will explore different methods to examine big data, including video, image, and text data produced by political parties and parliamentarians. The seminar is structured in a way that follows the research process, with a specific focus on politicians. It covers topics such as parliamentary data sources and availability, data selection, collection with APIs, measurement with R and Python, and descriptive analysis. Although prior knowledge of programming languages is not required, a willingness to learn them is expected. The main objective of this seminar is to help you develop your own research project based on the knowledge you gain about the various factors involved in data science. |
