Course frequency | Once only |
Lecturers | Vera Chiquet (vera.chiquet@unibas.ch, Assessor) |
Content | AIM: In-person writing days, to support you. We will write together, each on his/her own thesis or work-in-progress for an article. The teacher helps you with writing rules, such as how to present abbreviations, names, and numbers, how to use capital letters and italics, and how to quote and document sources. It also covers style issues like paragraph structure, pronoun reference, sexist language, and personal vs. impersonal style. METHOD: Bring your computer, books, and any work you have and join us for a writing day. When you start the workshop, you should have a first draft ready to turn into a submittable manuscript. If not, you can start with just data or a concept and use the course to create a draft. |
