Electrochemical energy conversion processes and introduction to the technologies: fuel cells and electrolyzers Electrocatalysts: state-of-the-art and new research trend for oxygen reduction (fuel cells) an oxygen evolution (electrolyzers) electrocatalysts |
Bibliography | The course material will be prepared and provided by the lecturer. References to academic publications of specific relevance will be included within the course. Recommended books: -Physical Electrochemistry: Fundamentals, Techniques, and Applications, Noam Eliaz/Eliezer Gileadi -Electrochemical Methods, A. Bard/L. Faulkner |
Comments | - The practical part of the course will take place at the Paul Scherrer Institut, 5232 Villigen PSI (www.psi.ch). - The number of participants is limited to 15 (first-come first-served basis). - Students are encouraged to bring their own protective gear for the work in the lab (lab coat, safety goggles). If needed, this can also be provided, please contact the organizer in advance. -Participants will need to bring their laptop. In case this is not possible, please contact the organizer in advance. - Participants need to be insured (health / accident insurance). - Pregnant and nursing mothers must report to the organizer before the practical part of the course. |
