Content Within in the framework of the Colloquium newest research findings from political science department of the University of Basel as well as external guest are presented und discussed. The theme portfolio will be wide and the focus will lie on empirical- analytical approaches.
Learning objectives - Participants of the colloquium will get to know different methods and studies of the current state of political science research and will learn how to analyses and criticise them.

Assessment format continuous assessment
Assessment details The performance record will be gaged on regular attendance and active participation in the colloquium. The assessment is pass / fail. At least twice a paper will be intensely discussed and comments are expected from all the colloquium participants (in addition handing in of the comments of the discussed paper in writing)

- Participation without performance record is with a written petition (to Prof. S. Bailer) possible
