Content The course aims to develop a nuanced understanding of Namibian society within the context of
southern Africa and the world, analysing the history, culture and contemporary issues that continue
to shape its landscape today. Through a combination of lectures and discussions, the course applies
sociological lens to key issues and activities in contemporary Namibia, promoting informed
engagement with its unique identity.
