4. State of art methods for the development of implementation strategies/bundles
5. Process evaluation
6. Systems science methods for implementation science
7. Health economic methods for implementation science
8. Research infrastructures in implementation science
Learning objectives 1. Apply and critically appraise all elements of the Basel Heptagon of implementation science in the review of implementation science papers.
2. Explain and apply basic and advanced implementation science designs in various types of implementation science projects.
3. Explain and apply the different stages of intervention development.
4. Explain and apply state of art methods for the development of implementation strategies/bundles.
5. Describe and explain methods for process evaluation in implementation science studies.
6. Describe and explain systems science methods and discuss their relevance for implementation science projects.
7. Describe and explain health economic methods that can be applied in implementation science projects.
8. Discuss relevant elements that constitute a research infrastructure for implementation science.
9. Participate actively in the learning groups and discussion sessions & journal clubs.
Bibliography The detailed list of papers supporting the learning in this course are listed in the semester calendar and reflect the key papers in the implementation science literature.

Admission requirements Students in the Nursing Science program who have passed the courses Research Quantitative, Research Qualitative I and Statistics I & II, Introduction to Implementation Science - The basics and Practical Application of Implementation Science - Project Seminar or equivalent courses.
The same conditions apply for students from other disciplines. Equivalence in view of statistical, methodological and implementation science courses for these students apply will be evaluated by the course leader based on course descriptions that students submit.
The course is restricted in number of students. Interested students from other disciplines should contact the course leader before registration in the university system (sabina.degeest@unibas.ch).
All students must be committed to the exam and no listeners will be allowed to participate in the course.

Assessment details Oral exam 70%
The content of the course will be tested in an oral exam where students have to apply the learned content by reviewing and critiquing implementation science literature. Both factual knowledge as applied knowledge (e.g. interpreting implementation science literature, ongoing implementation science studies) will be tested.

Active participation and presence in course 30%. This refers to the online lectures as well as in-person discussions (which can be online and/or in a classroom setting) and learning group work during the course.
Students need to present in at least 80% of the lectures.
