- Reporting of Implementation Science Studies
Learning objectives 1. Position implementation science in the research pipeline and identify different terminology used to describe implementation science internationally.
2. Understanding different types of research waste and arguing the role of implementation science in reducing research waste and enhance effectiveness of research pipeline
3. Discuss stakeholder involvement in implementation science and describe methodology for stakeholder involvement.
4. Understand the role and types of theories, models and frameworks in supporting implementation research and conceptualize the process for identifying an appropriate theory, model or framework for a specific implementation science project.
5. Argue the need for contextual analysis in implementation science projects and describe how to perform a contextual analysis methodologically.
6. Understand the role of meta-analysis in evaluating the strength of evidence of interventions and assessing the strength of evidence.
7. Argue relevant aspects for state-of-science intervention development and adaptation.
8. Understand the evidence base of implementation strategies and describe the methodology in determining implementation strategies/bundles for an implementation science project.
9. Recognize and critically evaluate common implementation science study designs.
10. Know different types of implementation outcomes, positioning them as part of an implementation science study and indicating measurement methods for implementation outcomes.
11. Apply reporting guidelines (e.g., StaRI) for implementation science research studies.
12. Participate actively in the discussion on implementation science literatures.
13. Apply learned theoretical knowledge in the discussions and learning groups.
Bibliography The detailed list of papers supporting the learning in this course are listed in the semester calendar and reflect the key papers in the implementation science literature.
