Content Academic review of the underlaying causes of land use changes.
Evidence-based evaluation of the balance between satisfying human needs and environmental ecosystems preservation.
Scientific evaluation of land use change mitigation strategies.
Learning objectives Develop a robust understanding of land use changes causes together with how these changes impact ecosystems and the strategies available to prevent or mitigate them. Enable students to compare and select methods for mitigating varying types of land use changes.
