Learning objectives | The Organizational Behavior and Leadership course is an "advanced introduction." It is considered an "introduction" because it does not require much prior knowledge of the topic. However, some general background in psychology or management is helpful. As an introduction, the course provides an overview of organizational behavior (OB) and its relationship to leadership. It is "advanced" because it goes beyond a basic introduction. This is reflected in the team tasks and presentations, which build on research papers and require students to develop a deeper understanding of theory building and empirical testing in the fields of organizational behavior (OB) and leadership. |
Bibliography | Course materials are distributed in the classroom or made available digitally (via ADAM). Circulation of the files to outsiders is discouraged. The lecturing parts of the course build on the following textbook (it is not mandatory or expected that students study the textbook): Robbins, S. P., & Judge, T.: Organizational behavior (18th edition, 2019, or later). New York, NY: Pearson. All materials will be uploaded shortly before the announced days. |
