| Content | Haben im 18. Jahrhundert die ersten Jüdinnen und Juden im deutschsprachigen Raum begonnen, in deutscher Sprache, also auch für ein Publikum ausserhalb ihres eigenen religiösen Rahmens, zu publizieren, so ging damit immer auch eine Hinterfragung eigener Positionen und der eigenen jüdischen Existenz einher. Diese Versuche der Selbstvergewisserung als Literatinnen und Literaten, als Jüdinnen und Juden, als Teilnehmende in einem komplexen Gefüge von Akzeptanz und Vorbehalten, hat ganz eigene Formen der Selbstpräsentation, aber damit verbunden auch der Gesellschaftskritik – an der jüdischen wie an der Mehrheitsgesellschaft – mit sich gebracht. Es lässt sich zeigen, dass bei allen Brüchen hier auch Kontinuitäten zu erkennen sind, von der Zeit Moses Mendelssohns bis hin zu Texten im Gefolge des Massakers vom 7. Oktober 2023. |
