| Content | Il seminario sarà dedicato ai rapporti tra poesia e arte nella letteratura italiana del primo Seicento e in particolare alla formulazione, nei due diversi linguaggi, di nuovi orientamenti estetici e stilistici rispetto a quelli del secolo precedente. Dopo alcune lezioni introduttive sulla categoria storiografica di “barocco” in letteratura e arte (in particolare attraverso l’opera di Benedetto Croce e dello storico dell’arte svizzero Heinrich Wöllfflin) ci occuperemo della poetica del principale esponente della poesia barocca Giovan Battista Marino (di cui ricorrono quest’anno i quattrocento anni dalla morte) e in particolare della sua raccolta La galeria (1619-1620) in lode delle arti figurative. |
