| Content | The seminar covers contemporary topics in Nano- and Quantum-Physics, mostly in experimental work. In the course of the semester, each student will give a 25-minute talk on one subject, presenting the results from one particular paper. Each talk should consist of a pedagogical introduction (about half the talk) followed by a presentation of the main results from the particular paper. A question-and-answer session will take place after the talk itself. |
| Learning objectives | The goals are for the students to acquire a deep knowledge of one contemporary subject in Nano- and Quantum Physics, to become skilled at accessing the scientific literature, and to develop skills in presenting complex ideas in the form of a presentation. |
| Bibliography | Each talk is centred around one important contemporary paper. A list of possible papers will be presented. For each topic, some background reading material will be suggested. |
| Admission requirements | The students should attend all the sessions, not just the session in which they give their own talk. |
