Content | This lecture series deals with global logistics and the challenges of (de-)globalization. For some years now, and especially since the Covid-19 pandemic, the restructuring of global supply chains and trade flows has become a core concern of states and businesses around the world. Most recently, efforts at reshoring/friend-shoring and industrial protection through tariffs have placed the onward march of economic globalization further into question. Geopolitical tensions have augmented these problems, often playing out in the realm of logistics. This lecture series examines the past, present and potential futures of global logistics from multiple (inter-)disciplinary perspectives. |
