Content The seminar is devoted to the topic of the global transnational repression of Tibetans and Uyghurs. Students will be introduced to the current state-of-research on transnational repression, issues pertaining to its conceptualization and learn about who is supposedly orchestrating and conducting such repressive efforts. Results from recent research on the case of Switzerland will be presented. Students will then engage in researching cases around the globe and turn their attention to places like Japan and Central Asian countries. The topic, finally, will be analysed from the point of view of international law.
