| Learning objectives | The modern tools of chemical biology will be discussed and contextualized with a discussion of pratical applications with those tools. Specific topics are: 1. Structure and function of biomolecules, 2. Chemical and biochemical synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids, 3. Methods to chemically modify proteins, 4. Bio-orthogonal reactions and bioconjugation 5. The use of fluorescence as an analytical tool in chemical biology. 6. Biophysical methods to study biomolecular interactions |
