| Content | The course consists of two parts: a seminar part, which includes a survey of relevant literature, a presentation, and a report, and a project part. The project introduces participants to the world of robot programming based on DiMI, the humanoid robot of the DMI. Project topics may include basic object detection, robot-human interaction, navigation, and autonomous robot movement. First, participants will develop their code inside the robot simulator. Then, for the final presentation, they will be able to deploy it on the actual robot device. |
| Learning objectives | This seminar has three objectives: i.) to learn how to read scientific papers. ii.) to learn how to prepare and deliver presentations, as well as how to structure and write a report. iii.) to gain experience in programming a mobile robot, planning and conducting a complex project, setting and meeting milestones, etc. |
