| Content | Dank der Vielfalt der Briefe aus dem Alten Ägypten stellen diese eine besonders aufschlussreiche historische Quelle dar. Sie bieten wertvolle Einblicke in verschiedene Aspekte der altägyptischen Kultur, etwa in das Alltagsleben, die Gesellschaft, familiäre Beziehungen und religiöse Praktiken. Dieser Kurs bietet den Studierenden die Möglichkeit, private, religiöse und literarische Briefe sowie Musterbriefe in ihrem jeweiligen Kontext zu untersuchen. Die Teilnehmenden arbeiten mit ausgewählten Gruppen von Briefen in Übersetzung, recherchieren deren historischen und kulturellen Hintergrund und präsentieren ihre Ergebnisse in einem Referat. |
| Learning objectives | 1. Die Teilnehmenden lernen, altägyptische Primärquellen in ihrem jeweiligen historischen, sozialen und kulturellen Kontext zu erschließen. 2. Die Teilnehmenden erweitern ihr Verständnis der altägyptischen Kultur durch die Analyse und Interpretation verschiedener Brieftypen. |
