| Content | This lecture series introduces current research and developments in the field of psychedelic science, with a focus on their clinical applications and pharmacological mechanisms. Invited speakers will present recent insights from preclinical and clinical research. The topics cover the neurobiology and pharmacology of psychedelics, their therapeutic applications in psychiatry, current clinical research, relevant chemical perspectives, and their historical and legal context. |
| Learning objectives | The lecture series aims to provide students with an introduction to psychedelic and cognitive science, including its history and insights into current scientific approaches in psychedelic research. The development of psychedelic-assisted therapy will be another topic. Participants will gain insights into experimental and clinical methodologies, understand the pharmacological principles underlying psychedelic compounds, and critically evaluate their therapeutic potential and limitations within a scientific framework. |
