20970-01 - Main lecture: Numerik der Differentialgleichungen (4 CP)

Content Many applications in engineering and physics involve differential equations. Such equations can generally only be solved numerically. This course introduces and examines suitable solution methods. The content covers both single-step and multi-step methods for solving ordinary differential equations, as well as finite difference methods for solving partial differential equations.

Admission requirements Prerequisites for the course include knowledge of the numerical methods introduced in the course Einfuehrung in die Numerik in basic programming skills in a programming language, such as Matlab.
