| Content | In diesem Seminar stehen Fragen von Lektüre und Buchbesitz in Skandinavien in der frühen Neuzeit im Zentrum. Karen Brahes Bibliothek in Odense oder die Büchersammlungen in Schloss Skokloster sind zwei faszinierende Beispiele für die Erschliessung vormoderner Büchersammlungen und Lektüreinteressen einzelner Akteure und auch Adelsfamilien. Zusätzlich zum Arbeiten an ausgewählten Texten sind zwei Besuche in der Universitätsbibliothek Basel sowie im Papiermühle Basel vorgesehen, um sich vor Ort mit konkreten historischen Textzeugnissen zu beschäftigen sowie Kenntnisse in der Geschichte des Buchdruck zu erwerben. |
| Learning objectives | Anhand ausgewählter Fragestellungen zu Themenkreisen wie Genre (Roman, Andachtsliteratur usw.), Schreib- und Leseszenen sowie Buchbestände in Schweden und Dänemark werden die Studierenden mit Aspekten des Buchdrucks und der Buchgeschichte vertraut gemacht und lernen, vormoderne Texte und Buchbestände Skandinaviens unter Heranziehen einschlägiger theoretischer Ansätze zu erschliessen. |
| Bibliography | Einschlägige Primär- und Sekundärliteratur wird zu Kursbeginn in einem (virtuellen) Semesterapparat zur Verfügung gestellt. |
