Content | The 8-day graduate course gives an overview of the most relevant issues in modern drug discovery and drug development. The lecturers from industry, academia, clinics and regulatory bodies introduce the participants to the current state-of-the-art and outline todays and future challenges in drug discovery and development. The course allows the participants to become familiar with the basic concepts in the pharmaceutical industry and in clinical development. All presentations and discussions will be held in English. |

Bibliography | At the beginning of each day of the Key Issues Course, relevant literature will be distributed as handouts to all participants to prepare for the different lectures and workshop. |

Admission requirements | The course is specifically designed for PhD-students who would like to prepare themselves in parallel to their thesis for a later career in pharmaceutical research, development, production or registration. It is open to PhD-students and Postdocs in biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences or related fields. |
