25660-01 - Lecture with practical courses: E1: Computational Biology of RNAs (6 CP)

Content The course will cover topics from genomics and RNA biology in which computational modeling and data analysis are instrumental in understanding the biological phenomenon: RNA secondary structure, prediction and identification of genes encoding functional RNAs, prediction and identification of targets, methods for mRNA expression profiling, models of gene expression, evolution of RNA genes and neutral networks.

Admission requirements Basic knowledge in molecular biology is a must, basic quantitative training (linear algebra, ordinary differential equations) is highly desirable.
