Content | In this colloquium we will familiarise ourselves with intercultural training as a practical field of work including job profiles and requirements, different training types, and the current ‘state of the art’ of training approaches. At the same time, we will develop a critical, theory-driven perspective on intercultural training, including examining the linguistic evidence behind some of the advice dispensed, and exploring how linguistic insights could be used practically in training. During the first session Dr. Christa Uhlinger, an intercultural trainer and coach (https://linkingpeople.ch/) will join us to share her insights on proving good intercultural training in Swiss workplaces. |
