Content | Leadership and teamwork are essentially communicative activities: individuals primarily rely on language to mobilize others and collaborate successfully. In this colloquium, we will explore the language of leadership and teamwork and will consider how our linguistic knowledge can be used to improve teamwork and leadership practices. We will critically engage with popular advice and training given to leaders and their teams and scrutinize these from a linguistic perspective. With this we will apply theoretical knowledge to practical communication situations, and consider how we can use our knowledge to improve communication in specific contexts. |
