Content This course is held entirely in English and will explore the legal and ethical dimensions of current controversies related to health and intellectual property, with a particular emphasis on the role of international organizations. Topics will include pandemic preparedness, benefit sharing, travel restrictions for persons living with HIV, and legal protections of traditional knowledge. A significant component of the course will consist of visits to international organizations in Geneva, such as UNAIDS, WHO, WTO, and WIPO. Dates: the week of July 11-15. This course is a collaboration with Basel University (Prof. B. Elger) and Seton Hall University, US (Prof. C. Coleman).
