| Content | Participation is often seen as a "panacea" to overcome conflicts and political inefficiency in a pluralistic society. Further, sustainable development requires the integration of various stakeholders in shaping future action. Participatory methods, however, can only evolve their potential if their prerequesites (e.g. goal, time constraints, costs, process, necessary knowledge...) are taken into consideration. The seminar course discusses strengths and weaknesses of different techniques (e-partizipation, participation in development cooperation, planning techniques and participatory strategy development). It aims at the elaboration of an analytical tool that indicates under which conditions the different methods are more likely to produce positive results. |

| Comments | Anrechnung im MSD 2005: Diese LV ist im Wahlmodul "Umwelt, Werte, sozialer Wandel und Gesundheit"/Bereich Phil.-Hist. publiziert. Die Studierenden haben das Pflichtmodul Phil.-Hist. weitestgehend abgeschlossen . Anrechnung im MSD 2010: Dieses Seminar ist im Kernbereich "Gesellschaftswissenschaftliche Nachhaltigkeitsforschung" publiziert und ausschliesslich für Studierende mit Studienvariante Phil.-Hist. Diese LV ist ein Angebot vom MSD. |
| Admission requirements | Nicht-MSD-Studierende studieren ein Phil.-Hist. Masterfach Anmeldung über ein besonderes Online-Formular für Alle Teilnehmer/innen erforderlich (siehe unter Anmeldung). Anmeldungen in einer anderen Form (z.B. OLAT, ISIS, per Email, mündlich, etc.) werden NICHT berücksichtigt. Teilnehmer/innen-Anzahl begrenzt,Studierende vom MSD und von den verknüpften Masterfächern haben Vorrang. Anrechnung für Studierende im MSD 2005 und im MSD 2010 siehe unter Bemerkungen. |
