Content Concrete subjects:
1) "Saving death: voluntary self-sacrifice: Greek, Roman, Christian
2) Theodicy: Divine justice in Classical Greece and Graeco-Roman Asia Minor
3) Myth and Ritual: Greek and Roman
when time allows it, we treat the following subjects:
4) Same or Other? Contrastive dualism in the Greek imagery of man and god
5) Epiphaneia: What did ancient mans see when he saw a god?

Bibliography
Comments Lectures in English. Discussion in German and English.
Knowledge of Greek or Latin, though welcome, is not strictly necessary. All texts will be (also) given in translation.
