35010-01 - Course: Literary Translation 3 CP

Content In this course, students will translate poems and discuss their translations with each other and with the instructor through the course of the semester. The translations will be English into German (though English into French is possible as well).
Learning objectives Practicing literary translation; publishing translations of poems.

Comments Students should purchase and read the book by C. Dale Young before the semester begins. Ideally, you should come to the first session with a draft translation of a poem of your choice.
