Content This research colloquium is part of a more extended project on Cultural Topographies. This term, we will focus on travel writing, looking both at overviews of and introductions to the genre, including Paul Fussell's classic "Abroad", and at two examples of distinguished travel writing from the earlier and the latter half of the twentieth century.
Learning objectives Students will widen their knowledge of cultural history, spatial practice and literary geography and develop their skills in research as well as academic discussion and presentation.
