Content | This course offers an introduction to the study of literature. Details will be announced at the beginning of term. |
Learning objectives | Students will acquire the methodological tools necessary for the analysis of literary texts. The course will focus on the three main genres (poetry, prose and drama) and introduce students to important periods in literary history (Early Modern, Romantic, Modern, Postmodern). In addition, students will get acquainted with the basics of film analysis. They will also learn how to conduct research and how to engage in academic discourse. |

Michel Gondry, DVD/Blu-ray; The books (note the specific editions) and film must be purchased before the first meeting. All further required reading will be made available on ISIS before the beginning of term. |
