Content The PhD Summer School is an international course to foster interdisciplinary discourse on sustainability sciences among PhD students. It focuses on sustainability conceptions and their impacts on empirical research. The School provides a heterogeneous and vivid platform to intensively discuss the diversity of understandings of sustainability in different disciplines and their impacts on disciplinary research. Leading senior researchers in the field of sustainability will give inputs and comment on the participants research projects.

Learning objectives The main aims of this course are
- to enhance the participants’ knowledge of different theoretical options on the sustainability science market;
- to critically reflect the invested understandings of sustainability in the participants’ research projects and
- to foster interdisciplinary discourse on sustainability science among PhD-students.

Admission requirements The course is open to advanced PhD-students from all national and international universities writing their PhD in different sustainability related disciplines. Preliminary registration is required. For details see "Anmeldung", the information will follow.
