Content | This course offers an introduction to English-language drama, including an overview of its main texts and genres. In addition, the course introduces students to writing academic papers. |
Learning objectives | The course will introduce students to theater and drama in English language and offer basic tools for the analysis of dramatic texts. By the end of the course, students should be able to write a 4000-word academic paper on a play of their choice. |
Bibliography | In this course, the students will read William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and two other plays that will be announced at the beginning of the semester. Students are required to purchase these plays; other mandatory readings will be made available online. |
