35975-01 - Lecture: Modern Cancer Therapy 1 CP

Content The aim of the course is to give life science students an overview on current treatment options in cancer medicine and also on the current development of new agents. The lecture will cover new classes of cancer therapeutics with a particular focus on immunotherapies and antibody-drug-conjugates. It will further discuss synergies between 'old' as well as 'new' anti-cancer drugs, such as targeted agents with chemotherapeutics, and immunotherapies. Finally it will provide insights into on-going clinical as well as translational cancer research and present findings from the lecturers own research.
