Content In this course, students will learn how to curate textual data, work with different textual structures and formats, tidy unstructured text, query text, analysis of grammatical structures and part of speech tagging, analysis of relationship between words, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, summarizing and visualizing characteristic of text, etc.
Learning objectives After this course, students will be able to perform text mining, scraping and sentiment analysis with R.

Admission requirements Die Teilnehmerzahl ist beschränkt. Bei Überbelegung werden Studierende der Digital Humanities bevorzugt zugelassen.
Course application This course requires knowledge of programming with R and is designed for the students who either have attended an introduction to R programming course in the past or have experience programming with R.
