Content | This course and the accompanying one (72269-01 Kolloquium: Introduction to Research: Project Feedback) is designed to introduce students to "how to do economic research" and to provide feedback on students’ research projects. It will consist of a set of lectures on how to (i) search for and formulate research questions and how to choose among potential projects; (ii) how to organize the day-to-day research work; (iii) how to develop a research project and pitch it to other researchers, both in the written form (paper) and orally (presentation); (iv) how to build a medium-term research career trajectory; plus (v) some practical advice on an economics career (submitting to journals, refereeing, etc). PhD students at any stage of their doctoral studies, as well as postdocs, are welcome. Students who have already participated in a previous year are welcome but credits will only be awarded once.
