| Content | This research colloquium is part of a more extended project about "Cultural Topographies". In an initial step, we will explore and discuss theories of space which have been developed in the context of the spatial turn of the early 1980s and assess their relevance for the study of literature and culture today. |
| Learning objectives | Students will develop their skills in research as well as academic disussion and presentation. |

For preparation, please purchase and read Jörg Döring and Tristan Thielmann (eds.), "Spatial Turn. Das Raumparadigma in den Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaften" (Bielefeld 2008). |
| Admission requirements | This colloquium is for advanced students and PhD-candidates. It is also specifically for students wishing to give the colloquium presentation required in the MA research skills module. |
