Content “The Brontës” are among the most remarkable phenomena of English literature, and we will study the work of the various siblings of this extraordinary family and explore the Victorian contexts of their literary output as well as its resonances within English literary history.
Learning objectives Students will develop their skills in close reading, cultural analysis and literary criticism.

Please purchase proper critical editions of the texts in good time – for the novels the Norton Critical Edition if available.
