Content | The lecture series studies human’s history through the eyes of an economist asking a key economic question: What determined the standard of living across space and time? We start with a brief introduction of the field and specific methods. Afterwards we discuss how to measure well-being or the standard of living before we begin our intellectual journey through the topics of economic history linked to the potential determinants of the living standard. |

Admission requirements | Basic skills in statistics, micro- and macroeconomic are useful but not a hard condition. Good command English. |
